2009 Photos: Birds, Butterflies, Beautyberries, Bullfrogs, Bears and More
It's been a busy year -- little time for pictures -- but I have managed to snap a few. As always, I'm blessed to spend much of my time in places where we get to see a bit of wildlife, and I love sharing it.

Partridge Berry
Mitchella repens is a common ground cover in the Nag's Head preserve. The berries appear in late October and make for a Christmas-y look to the forest floor. Foxes, raccoons and birds eat them -- people can't get much use out of them. Thanks for stopping by my photo page!
